We are delighted to announce that NOMAD is opening the doors of its brand-new restaurant in the Melbourne CBD in June 2020. Co-Owner Rebecca Yazbek says, “We’ve been on the lookout for a space in Melbourne for over two years now and have always had our hearts set on opening something around Flinders Lane.”
Located at 189 Flinders Lane, NOMAD Melbourne will be creating a new Mediterranean inspired menu, to be overseen by Jacqui Challinor, the current Head Chef of the Sydney restaurant.
Jacqui will move into the position of Executive Chef across both Melbourne and Sydney, in doing so Jacqui will be ensuring NOMAD Melbourne creates an amazing team of chefs and staff from the incredible pool of local talent.
NOMAD’s focus on locally sourced produce, house-made bread, charcuterie and cheese and its signature wood-fired oven will be incorporated into the new Melbourne menu which will be made up of predominantly new dishes that will allow NOMAD Melbourne to forge its own identity.
Melbourne’s wine list will follow in the footsteps of its Sydney counterpart and serve an extensive range from the best small growers and producers, distinguishing itself with an increased focus on international wines.
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for NOMAD and Melbourne and our preparations are well and truly underway.
