Join us on a themed wine journey with NOMAD. We’ll cover the basics of wine appreciation before embarking on an in depth discourse on a particular aspect of Australian wine.

Charcuterie and cheese will be served by the NOMAD kitchen.

What are the NOMAD masterclasses?

For those who have either attended the Wine School or simply don’t have the time, the NOMAD Wine masterclasses are our way of communicating wine the way we see it in a more compact format. With a focus on small producers, lesser-known regions and sub regions and a breadth of varietals which don’t always fit the norm.

  • We’ll start with a brief introduction to wine tasting.

  • Wines will be tasted semi-blind – you won’t initially know what they are – and in flights of two to enable you to compare and contrast different styles.

  • You’ll taste 6-8 wines throughout the evening – all of which are available to purchase at the end.

  • We’ll focus on a specific theme and endeavor to get into the nuts and bolts of it.

  • Cheese and charcuterie will be provided to look at the way the wines work with food.

  • We’ll provide you with inside knowledge to help you find hidden gems and bargains.


Who is it aimed at?

The masterclasses are aimed at anyone who wants to know more about different Australian wine styles and varieties in a relaxed an informal environment. They are more focused than the Wine School and change monthly. All knowledge and experience levels welcome.
